The Museum of Northern Arizona conducted archaeological investigations at two sites along the Palo Verde to Westwing Transmission System, northwest of Phoenix, Arizona. NA15,137 is an extensive Hohokam sherd and lithic scatter dating to the late Colonial and Sedentary Periods. The remains indicate a seasonal occupation with an agricultural subsistence base. The sites ranged from Hohokam camps and special-purpose, limited activity sites to Anglo homesteads of the early 20th century. In May 1976, at the request of the Salt River Project, an archaeological clearance investigation of 16 20-acre mining claims on Bureau of Land Management land and a quarter section of state land south of St. Johns, Arizona, was conducted by the Museum of Northern Arizona. 18 archaeological sites were located and recorded. A brief description of the investigations, the project area, and the archaeological situation encountered is given.

On March 17, 1978, the Museum of Northern Arizona conducted an archaeological survey of two land parcels in Tonto National Forest proposed by The Salt River Project for construction of the Silverking Substation and an associated microwave repeater station. Only one previously recorded site, NA14,132, was observed. Since the site probably post-dates 1948 and contains virtually no significant archaeological data, archaeological clearance for the two land parcels is recommended.

Archaeological Shovel Testing Along Unsurveyed Portions of the Proposed Emergency Access Road Between Family Housing and Pumping Station Road on Arnold Air Force Base (2005)
Summary of an archaeological investigation in support of a proposed emergency access road. Investigations included a review of the existing site records, pedestrian survey and visual inspection as well as shovel testing. Visual inspection and shovel testing produced evidence of a small Early Woodland site recorded as 40FR502. This site is recommended not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
