During this research and inventory, property types were identified and then photographed. Twenty-two properties were fully inventoried as important properties within the base Cold War context. The current project, initiated by HQ AFMC (M. Tagg 2004) and funded through the Legacy Program (Legacy Project No. 04-211) as a continuation of the HQ AFMC historic context (Weitze 2003), seeks to identify and categorize RDT&E property types and subtypes and present them as an addition to the current Interim Guidance list. The end result will be a more complete Air Force Cold War property typology for the materiel development facility category that augments the current typology.
