Great houses, shrines, and high places: Intervisibility in the Chacoan world
These are the viewsheds, viewnet, and site location data as calculated for
Ruth M. Van Dyke, R. Kyle Bocinsky, Tucker Robinson, and Thomas C. Windes, Great houses, shrines, and high places: Intervisibility in the Chacoan World, American Antiquity 81, pp. 205–230 (2016).
The data include three files: A site database of site locations and information; A GML network file where nodes are the sites, and edges represent intervisibility between sites; and a sub-collection with viewsheds from each site. The viewsheds are named using the "UNIQUE_ID" field in the shapefile.
This confidential version of the database contains site locations. To obtain access to this confidential version with site locations, you must demonstrate that you have permission from the managers of the statewide site files in the four states. Contact Kyle Bocinsky (bocinsky@gmail.com) or Ruth Van Dyke (rvandyke@binghamton.edu) for access.
