Results of Phase 1 Data Recovery for the RWRD Central Laboratory Access Road and Drainage, ASLD Acquisitions 16-115926 and 16-115927, Pima County, Arizona
Author(s): Helga Wöcherl
Year: 2013
Summary
The purpose of this report is two-fold. It is, first and foremost, a report on the results of a relatively small field investigation within a portion of the Los Pozos site. These recent investigations did not encounter buried archaeological features despite discovery of such in an immediately adjacent area during a previous project. Due to a gradual accumulation of substantial amounts of fieldwork over the past 20 years, the second part of this report is a compilation and synthesis of information about the alluvial geomorphology and past human land use practices. These interpretations, based on archaeological data, are both timely and potentially useful for understanding not only this small project, but also for planning future construction projects and archaeological undertakings.
