The Museum of Northern Arizona conducted an intensive survey of the proposed Coronado-Concho Wellfield Distribution transmission line in two phases: 1) a preliminary survey of the entire line (0.75 mi.), and 2) a specific inspection of over 18 pole locations. Three sites have been recorded within the project area. The direct impact of the proposed construction is insignificant; however, the indirect impact of vehicular traffic is considerable. Provisional clearance is recommended.

On March 17, 1978, the Museum of Northern Arizona conducted an archaeological survey of two land parcels in Tonto National Forest proposed by The Salt River Project for construction of the Silverking Substation and an associated microwave repeater station. Only one previously recorded site, NA14,132, was observed. Since the site probably post-dates 1948 and contains virtually no significant archaeological data, archaeological clearance for the two land parcels is recommended.

Between July 10 and July 15, 1977, 3.88 miles of right-of-way expansion was surveyed along the Coronado Generating Station Coal Haul Railroad approximately 18 miles north of St. Johns, Arizona. Well sites P-10 and P-3, and an access road between them, were inspected thoroughly. A proposed well site P-9 and an access road from it to well site P-10 were partially covered in reconnaissance. The Museum recommends clearance only for well sites P-10 and P-3 and their access road.
