Summary
Cultural resource monitoring was conducted on Landfill 4, Zone E, Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study (RI/FS) Field Investigation project on F.E. Warren Air Force Base (AFB) by James Brechtel on behalf of CH2M Hill. The purpose of the project was to conduct field investigations for a remedial investigation and feasibility study of Landfill 4, which is found in the southeastern portion of the base. The project consisted of an assessment of the landfill contents and the horizontal and vertical limits of the landfill via a series of excavated test trenches and pits. Cultural resource monitoring was required on the project because Landfill 4 falls within and adjacent to Site 48LA106, the Cheyenne Depot, a historic archaeological site that is determined eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
