A subsurface gray sand archaeological layer was documented in portions of the proposed OMNI antenna project area at Bellows AFS. Archaeological Subsurface Testing for the Removal of Pipeline Utilities Under the Installation Restoration Program at Bellows Air Force Station, Waimanalo, Ko`olaupoko District, O`ahu, Hawai`i (2001)
The results of a subsurface inventory survey conducted at Bellows Air Force Station (BAFS) are reported. The survey area followed a 1.8 km fuel pipeline and transected BAFS from Keolu Hills to Waimanalo Bay. Twenty-three backhoe trenches and three controlled test units were excavated.
