Cultural Resources Survey for the Pinal West to Abel/Browning 500 kV Transmission Line, Arizona State Lands Segments, Santa Rosa Substation to Dinosaur Substation, Pinal County, Arizona
Author(s): T. Kathleen Henderson; Tiffany C. Clark; Connie A. Darby
Year: 2008
Summary
This report presents the results of a Class III cultural resources survey of Arizona State Land right-of-way easements for a new extra-high voltage transmission line to be built between the Santa Rosa Substation, located south of the Ak Chin Indian Community, and the Dinosaur Substation, located east of the Town of Queen Creek, in Pinal County, Arizona (Figure 1). The proposed transmission line is part of the larger Pinal West to Abel/Browning (PW-ABL/BRG) 500 kV Transmission Line Project. The work was requested by the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District (SRP) to determine if significant cultural resources were present that might be adversely affected by construction of the transmission line.
