A metate was recovered from Feature 1, a large storage pit that yielded a calibrated radiocarbon age of AD 1400-1450 on corn from the fill. This Late Plains Village or early Protohistoric site is located in a dune field between the Cimarron and Beaver River drainages in western Oklahoma.
