Summary
This composite map depicts the entirety of Pueblo Grande (AZ U:9:1(ASM)) in Phoenix, AZ. The map shows the locations of the spatial units that SSI and other cultural resource firms defined to bound their archaeological projects and associated cultural features. In addition, the map displays the locations of well-defined prehistoric cultural features (platform mound, ballcourt, compounds) and areas (habitation areas, burial groups) within the known site boundaries. Finally, the map depicts modern road and canal right-of-ways to situate Pueblo Grande and its cultural features on the contemporary landscape.

General Note: Mason Scott Thompson created this map by updating and modifying "Figure 1: Location of Unit 13 at Pueblo Grande (AZ U:9:7 (ASM), Arizona Federal Credit Union Property" from the report entitled Archaeological Testing of Unit 13 at Pueblo Grande, AZ U:9:7 (ASM), Arizona Federal Credit Union Property, 44th and Van Buren Streets, Phoenix, Marciopa County, Arizona. The original map from the figure depicted all of the spatial unit numbers with the exception of Unit 15. Scott Thompson used information and maps from the report entitled Partial Data Recovery and Burial Removal at Pueblo Grande (AZ U:9:7 (ASM)): Unit 15, the Former Maricopa County Sheriff's Substation, Washington and 48th Streets, Phoenix Arizona to add the location of Unit 15 to the site map.
General Note: Please note that SSI recorded the Pueblo Grande number as AZ U:9:7(ASM), which is the designation for a portion of Pueblo Grande. The correct number for the site as a whole is AZ U:9:1(ASM).
